TV Show Host Stunned by Guests' Confessions About Crying for Social Media

Buenos Aires, Dec 4 (NA) — What started as a light debate over Daniela Celis's tears after being named 'Person of the Year' by Gente magazine ended up becoming one of the most surreal moments on the show 'A la Barbarossa'.

Georgina Barbarossa was so bewildered by the confessions of Analía Franchín and Alejandra Maglietti that she stood up from her chair and threatened to leave the studio, as reported by Agencia Noticias Argentinas.

While analyzing the video of Daniela crying over her ruined false eyelashes, Georgina exclaimed: 'You can't cry over eyelashes, honey. When do you think, 'I'm going to post this on Instagram'?'

Maglietti added a generational theory: 'People do it for engagement.'

'I cry to look at myself, like an actress,' Franchín stated. Barbarossa was paralyzed: 'They're messing with me!', but the panelists continued, and Franchín upped the ante: 'I always cry in front of the mirror. I don't understand people who record themselves crying.'

It was then that Franchín dropped the first bombshell: 'When I cry, I look at myself in the mirror.' Maglietti backed her up without hesitation: 'Yes, obviously. There are more important things: your husband is healthy and alive.'

Franchín agreed but quickly shifted the conversation: 'I don't dare to give an opinion. If I look puffy, it means I'm crying properly.'

Following the discussion, the host could only repeat: 'I can't believe it' as she got up from her chair, stunned by the honesty of her panelists.

'They post videos of themselves crying so people will comment, "Are you okay?".' Georgina responded indignantly: 'How would I record myself crying? It's a huge thing! I want to pretend I didn't see it. If I see it, I'll resolve the conflict faster.' Maglietti completed the idea with dramatic humor: 'You have to be dramatic in life. She was on the brink and crying over her eyelashes.'
